Air Canada Direct Connect – ac2u
RESX and Air Canada have joined together to provide Air Canada products that were previously only available through the Air Canada Web site.

With Air Canada’s ac2u Direct Connection, RESX Users are now able to access the full range of Air Canada products (Tango, Tango Plus, Latitude and Executive class fares) including the airline’s flight customization pricing model.  This model enables travelers and travel planners to customize their chosen fare product by selecting applicable Service Attributes, such as onboard meal vouchers; advanced seat selection; checked baggage fees; and more. Travelers will also have the ability to view and book available Air Canada Flight Pass credits

Secure Flight Requirements – TSA/DHS
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the Final Ruling for the Secure Flight program.  The purpose of Secure Flight is to enhance the current security of air travel through the use of improved government watch list matching..  Each passenger will be required to provide personal information for every travel record.  RESX now supports these required fields (Name, Date of Birth, & Gender) as well as the optional Redress and Known Traveler Numbers.  See your Profile > Personal Information > Secure Flight Requirements for more information.  Click here to read more about this program - http://www.tsa.dhs.gov/press/releases/2009/0331.shtm

Southwest Airlines Inventory – Available on Apollo Reservation System
RESX now includes access to Southwest Airline inventory directly through the Apollo Reservation System. The relationship between Apollo (Travelport) and Southwest allows RESX to provide a more seamless booking to our end users. Additional features include Rapid Reward support and Southwest Ticket Numbers. This new functionality, along with RESX SWABIZ connectivity assures that all Southwest Airline inventory is available in a single application.

Hotel Search Field Updates
We understand that one of the most important factors when booking a trip, whether business or leisure, is finding the right hotel. With so many search choices available we continue to strive to make this process as flexible, yet as simple as possible. So whether your hotel search involves a simple request like an airport hotel, or a more creative search, such as a hotel near a Reference Point or office address, we have just made the request process a little more intuitive.

Improved Seat Map Access (Amadeus GDS Users)
RESX Users on the Amadeus reservation system now have access to more carrier seat maps to provide travelers with wider selection, improving their experience and use of the tool.

Copy Trip
Travelers as well as travel planners will benefit from the efficiency gains of the new RESX Copy Trip feature. Travel Planners need the ability to book travel reservations to the same destination for multiple travelers. Many travelers make repeat trips to the same destination. This is all made simple with the new Copy Trip link that is located in two places within RESX: the Reserved Itinerary page and the Trip List page. The ability to copy a trip reduces booking time by allowing an existing RESX trip to be copied for a different traveler, or for a traveler to copy their own itinerary for a different date.

Air Shopping Display Enhancements
The air shopping display has been enhanced in a continuous effort to accommodate the changing fare structures of the airline industry. Carriers are now offering multiple fares for a single itinerary based on more than just advance purchase and minimum stay. A more consolidated workflow is now offered to reduce vertical scrolling; more flexible pricing options allowing for custom built itineraries; and the inclusion of the Air Matrix on the City Pair tabs to support easier filtering and sorting of flight schedules.
