Modify Air Search at Air Availability
RESX allows travelers to easily modify their air search without having to "cancel and restart", streamlining the booking process. This function allows travelers to make modifications to their air request as soon as their initial air results have returned. Modifications include; city pairs, dates, times and re-shop with a few simple clicks
Request for Exchange Tickets
RESX now features ticket exchange request functionality. Available Exchange Ticket options will be displayed allowing a reservation to be documented for agency fulfillment. The Exchange function is available for un-expired, un-used journeys. Results from air shopping and any itineraries will be cross referenced where qualifying Exchange Tickets are available. The new text will display in the Shopping Cart for Selected, Reserved or Purchased Itineraries which have Exchange Ticket possibilities and alerts.
Car Matrix
Car Matrix provides a simple method for travelers to view and compare multiple car vendors, car types and rental rates in a single view giving them increased visibility into their car rental options. This feature implements a new summary matrix at the top of the car availability results screen.
Policy Control by Destination
Administrators now can control which types of travel are booked based on the destination of the traveler, giving them control over corporate travel booking for security or other reasons. For example, while the traveler may be allowed to book air to and a hotel in Mexico they should be prohibited from booking a car while in Mexico. An administrator will be able to create a list of cities, country codes and/or defined regions along with segment types allowed to be booked or blocked for that destination. When the traveler inputs their city pairs, the requested city pairs will be validated to those in the Segment Restrictions By Destination lookup list(s) to see if a match exists in order to restrict users from booking one or more segment types.

New User Interface
RESX introduces a new User Interface giving travelers more control over their preferences, travel options and the ability to personalize travel plans. The new User Home page breaks up information into four sections and presents information to the user based on assigned roles; the information is dynamically displayed per users permissions and chosen traveler. The available sections and messages will also be different for a user with Administration privileges
My Messages
This section identifies the user and role, as well as the selected user and provides existing information from the Alerts dropdown menu in an improved user-friendly fashion. Information on expiring and expired credit cards, passports and system passwords is now displayed to user before starting a trip. This section will also provide notification on expiring unused tickets as well as trips pending your trip approval. Links and buttons to edit these fields or access RESX Online Help are available.
Recommendations for browser best performance will display for users still using I.E. Version 6.0:
“We see you are still using Internet Explorer version 6! To ensure the best online experience, we recommend you upgrade to a faster, more secure version of Internet Explorer or use Mozilla’s Firefox.”(links to download Firefox and Internet Explorer are provided).
My Trips, Facebook and TripIt
The My Trips section displays pending trip information and is similar to the existing Trip List but limits the number of displayed trips to three. The trips are displayed chronologically beginning with earliest trip departure date. The user has the ability to view each trip or view all trips along with the status of each trip and can send trip information to their Facebook profile or to Tripit.com from this section.
Bulletin Board
Travel administrators can pass customized messaging information to the user. The messaging is controlled with a new Custom Text ID (CTID 2252). Default text for CTID 2252 will include RESX Tutorial information. This default text will be periodically updated by RESX as tutorials are added or modified.
